4 Use of Cookies / Web Beacons

Bubbling web sites use “cookies” to enable Users to sign in to its services and to help personalize Users online experience. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on the visitor’s hard disk by a Web page server. Cookies contain information that can later be read by a Web server in the domain that issued the cookie to the visitor. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to a computer. One of the primary purposes of cookies is to store preferences and other information on a visitor’s computer in order to save such visitor time by eliminating the need to repeatedly enter the same information. When Users sign in to a site using their credentials, Bubbling stores Users unique ID number, and the time they signed in, in an encrypted cookie on their hard disk. This cookie allows Users to move from page to page at the site without having to sign in again on each page. When Users sign out, these cookies are deleted from their computer. Bubbling may also employ Web beacons from third parties in order to help it compile aggregated statistics regarding the effectiveness of its promotional campaigns or other operations of our sites. Finally, Bubbling may work with other companies that advertise on Bubbling sites to place Web beacons on their sites in order to allow Bubbling to develop statistics on how often clicking on an advertisement on a Bubbling site results in a purchase or other action on the advertiser’s site.
